Across the shimmering sands Over endless miles of restless ocean Atop the highest peaks of snow topped mountains There is love
In the deepest caverns and atop the tallest buildings In swiftest of rivers and the smallest mud puddles In the hottest fires and on the coldest icebergs There is love
Yet, our worlds are tossed about from point to point Not a care, not a thought So many fears so many worries In the midst of busy streets Across the roof tops In our cellars in our beds we always seem to fight Yet, there is love
Your love may be of money or clothes Or may be a fancy car or boat But He loves us any way
When wrong is done and hate has its best When fate seem to bash us and time is not on our side When we cuss the neighbor for that old loud beater Or the paper boy’s bicycle for its jingle, jingle When at 5 a.m. you had just clambered into bed Guess what, He still loves us
Love list a million ways From the browsers of fine antiquities To the beggars on the street And we can never seem to find time to be thankful Cause love is always right there
We forget the smells of the bakery and the site of the sunset Or the luxuries on payday or the scraps from a feast We all have our lovers; it is just that some have different feet.
So the next time you feel a loss of love Take a look about you and see what you have lost Surely you will see just one new love. |
